My gear

For reference purposes I have compiled this list of gear and software I frequently use. I'm well aware of the limits of the body and the lenses, but I'm able to function within these limits. From time to time this list might be updated if the need arises.

Camera body and lenses

When I started out with my gear I choose Canon as the main brand. Since I only made some upgrades from that I primarily stick with either Canon or, in the case of lenses, brands with Canon mounts.

  • Canon EOS 350D (main body)
  • Canon EOS 300 (requires film)
  • Sigma 18-125mm F3.5-5.6 DC
  • Canon EF 50mm F 1.8 II
  • Tamron AF 70-300mm F5-5.6 LD

Additional light

Solemnly for portraits I have manufactured my own ring-light to get that special effect associated with this light. Besides that I also have an external flash.

  • Sigma Electronic Flash EF-500 DG Super E0-ETTL II
  • Self-made ring-light, able to contain various light bulbs

Accessories

The tripod and monopod I own are not by any major brand, they do, however, get the job done. I really love the batterygrip on the 350D for the extra battery.

  • BG-3 battery grip
  • Tripod
  • Monopod
  • Reflector disc (white, silver, gold)
  • Tiffen Haze-1 filter
  • Cokin A005 Sepia
  • Cokin A164 Circular Polarizer

Software

I have a rather large collection of software, each for its specific needs and tasks.

  • Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Essential HDR Standard Edition
  • HDR Darkroom
  • Geosetter
  • Hugin

About Me

I am an amateur photographer, trying to understand the wonderful world of photography. As such I love to take photographs and process them using a variety of tools.

By posting some of my work I hope others will enjoy these photographs as well. It also gives me the chance to receive some criticism, which in turn will make me a better photographer. I encourage you (my dear visitor) to leave your comments behind.

If you're interested in buying a print or use a photograph for (commercial) purposes, please contact me.
