Dutch resistance
The members of the Dutch restistance kept a low profile during the war, not using uniforms or insignia. When the liberation was at hand the members would be asked to change their civilian clothes into something that could be described as an uniform. As displayed in this picture members of the resistance wore a blue overall with an orange armband. The text on the armband says "Oranje" which is Dutch for orange. The color orange is also associated with the Royal family and is still used today for example in the clothing of the Dutch national soccer team. The image was taken at the Wings of Liberation Museum at Best, the Netherlands.

About Me

I am an amateur photographer, trying to understand the wonderful world of photography. As such I love to take photographs and process them using a variety of tools.

By posting some of my work I hope others will enjoy these photographs as well. It also gives me the chance to receive some criticism, which in turn will make me a better photographer. I encourage you (my dear visitor) to leave your comments behind.
