Dutch resistance

The members of the Dutch restistance kept a low profile during the war, not using uniforms or insignia. When the liberation was at hand the members would be asked to change their civilian clothes into something that could be described as an uniform. As displayed in this picture members of the resistance wore a blue overall with an orange armband. The text on the armband says "Oranje" which is Dutch for orange. The color orange is also associated with the Royal family and is still used today for example in the clothing of the Dutch national soccer team.
